Digital Preserve - 2009

An NFS project at UNC-SILS Interaction Design Lab explored the digital preservation of ephemeral conference material in immersive worlds. Our project owned a full island on Second Life and I designed and built exhibits on our property for different areas including a welcome center, outdoor poster exhibits, a beachfront lecture deck and a café for socializing. This involved shaping the land, landscaping, and creating the exhibits and buildings to support them; my approach to these poster exhibits was to place them within nature, something not possible on real life. I was also host for the events we held on this property.
