These beautiful animals are extraordinary, they posess a unique inteligence which has led them to develop organization and comunication forms that are similar or more complex than ours.

This year I had the fortune to visit a sedentary colony of bottlenose dolphins (tursiops truncatus), they let us get close to them, float and dive very close to them, while they were watching us with a look that we shall never forget.

This colony lives in the coast of Chile´s Región de Coquimbo, near the town of Punta Choros. Pinguino de Humboldt National Park is also located in this place.

Besides having adapted their structure to live in the sea (they are mammals, not fish) and to move at amazing speeds underwater, they have developed a powerful capacity for loving, this is sometimes used to treat many human affections. From this page I'm sending my greetings to our friends the dolphins, and remind the humans that we must protect and respect  these animals that have so much to teach us.
