I’m generally interested in human communication and particularly in how we can build information systems to enable new levels of communication.
I currently work as Information Architecture consultant in Chile at the Center for Web Research of Universidad de Chile's DCC, and at the Yahoo! Research Center at the same univertity. I have previously worked as in-house Information Architect for media groups and a design studio in Chile, in charge of the design of large Web and Intranet projects for leading companies in a variety of industries.
My experience has also reached the academia, as Associate Researcher at Universidad de Chile, Santiago, and Adjunct Instructor at the University of Maine, Orono, USA.
I’ve also been permanently involved with the communities gathered around Information Architecture, as an active member of the international community and as founder of the Chilean group of Information Architects.
mantruc.com is my personal website since 1998, here I publish some of my articles and photographs (and my wife's pictures as well).
All of the pages have been developed by myself, always trying to adhere to HTML standards. The new 2004 version was built with Strict XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.0
